As a serial entrepreneur, David is constantly keeping one eye out for the next big thing to reach his country of Panama. He got ahead of the fidget spinner curve and after seeing a rise in the ecommerce industry in Panama, he had to skill up.

So he combined his passion for Panama and business to create Hola Iguana. And get this: he built his online store without ever having a website or Shopify platform.

David solely focused on selling through Instagram which now drives 100% of his sales. He used the direct messaging feature as a customer service tool that generated brand rapport with his customers.

The weekend after launching, David made 20 sales and he’s now made $10,000 in revenue over the past year.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, David made the decision to switch gears and focus on building his following on Instagram.

He noticed the trend of brands building Instagram Story challenge templates and made one for Hola Iguana.

In a matter of three days, he saw a 10% growth in Instagram followers and brought in 3,500 people to his brand’s profile.
